The syntax highlighting and code completion, along with quick documentation and the keyboard shortcuts, are why I like using JetBrains IDEs. Taking that familiarity to iOS development with AppCode sounds like it will make me even more productive. I definitely can't stand the way tabs work in Xcode either, so that's another plus.

Since I've only been using AppCode for a day, I don't have a very informed opinion, but so far I really like it. AppCode will allow you to keep things in directories if you like.
